House Hunt Update, and a Tour of Our Current House
In this post, I told you some basics about a house and land that we found and really like. Well folks, it’s for real.
WE ARE BUYING A HOUSE!!!
It’s a lovely two story colonial, on 10 wooded acres, that we will be converting to pasture eventually. We are supposed to close at the end of this month, but closing dates are iffy, so I’m not holding my breath.
I thought I would take you on a quick tour of our current house, so you can see what we are leaving, and eventually, I will post a tour of our new house as well.
Here are some pictures of the little rancher that we are currently renting…
My little kitchen that has faithfully cranked out many meals and canned many pounds of food. I am really looking forward to having an actual pantry, and more cabinets to put stuff in. I really dislike having this much stuff sitting out on my counter tops.
Here is the stove, and the awesome sink. (I mean, who puts a sink in a corner anyway?)
The only other bit of counter top
The Dining Room
Office. (Awesome wood paneling huh?)
Our somewhat spartan bedroom. I am definitely planning on more decorating at the new house.
The two bathrooms. They had epic taste in tile in the late 60’s.
The only other room is Kelston’s, and since it’s the day after his birthday party, it is a complete disaster with presents and a sleepover fort. I will pass on posting a photo of it today…
It has served us well, but we are definitely ready to move on to something a little bigger, and with more storage. I am a pretty intense minimalist, but there are some things we still need to store- things like suitcase and off season clothes. We are very excited to have an attic at the next house!
So,my next step is to pack it all up, and get it ready to move!!!
