Moving Prep- The Calm Before The Storm

So, this week we are getting things ready for our move next weekend. In a way, it’s frustrating that most of the tasks of moving have to be left until the last minute (packing up our clothes, the kitchen, painting the new house, etc). But, it also provides me with a week to take a few breaks and relax a bit. Other than mental planning, and some minimal packing, I have mostly been focusing on getting a few meals in the freezer for those moving/painting days. So far, I have:

  • 2 Pizzas
  • 1 Lasagne
  • 1 Batch of Banana Muffins

I know it’s going to be a rather busy couple of days, and I just want to make it go as smoothly as possible. In my opinion, there is nothing worse than working hard all day, and then having to come up with a spur of the moment meal. I would much rather have a plan, and do as much work ahead of time as possible.

This weekend, Matthew and I are also going out for our first date night this year! Yikes! The last one was when I was finally over my pregnancy nausea, but still a few months before Finn was born. This will also be my first time to leave Finn with anyone other than Matthew. So, that will be a new thing for me. 🙂 We will be trying out a restaurant that uses locally sourced food, and many “green” practices. I’m pretty excited!

Have an awesome weekend!
