This week, I am featuring Marisa’s kitchen from the BLog Cabin Mama

Welcome to the BLog Cabin Mama Kitchen!

Lots of cooking, baking and blogging happen here!  I am so glad my friend Angi invited me to share my kitchen with you.  It is not exactly a true homesteaders kitchen but I do cook most of the time and we eat together as a family.

I love my kitchen.  It’s a good thing because that is where I spend most of my time.  I do my bible study and blogging in the early morning hours and lots of homeschool happens around the kitchen table.  My laundry room is off the kitchen and it is very convenient for me.

Love my cubby hole area.  I think it is very unique for a kitchen.  The cabinets had glass that had gotten broken before we moved in.  So my Mr. Fix It replaced them with wood he painted black and I really like it. I really, really like him!  I enjoy changing out the décor for the holidays.  It gives me space to do this without causing clutter on my countertops.

I really wish that I had a window above my big sink and  extra cabinets and counter space.   I am a messy cook (with lots of kitchen gadgets) and need to spread out!  This problem is very much helped out by this:

No, you may not borrow her!

My kitchen area is open with the dining room and the living room so I can be a part of all the action even when I am cooking.

The island makes it handy because everything is in arms reach.

I recently made myself a spice drawer because I got tired of not being able to find things in my corner cabinet.  It does not have a lazy Susan in it and I miss that from my old kitchen.

Then there is the really good stuff that happens in this kitchen.
