With your plastic free kitchen, how do you get away from plastic garbage bags? Your goals are great!

Hi Jessica! Great question. So I haven’t come up with a stellar replacement for plastic garbage bags yet. ๐Ÿ™ Paper grocery bags work moderately well, but they aren’t perfect. I go back and forth between those and regular plastic trash bags. Still a work in progress for sure. My eventual goal is to create a much smaller amount of trash in general, and the paper bags would be more effective then.

One of my goals is being more intentional with my reading, also. I like the way you have monthly intentions to help you reach your goal. Thatโ€™s a good way to stay motivated. Iโ€™ll have to try that. Thanks for sharing.

I like historical fiction, biography and true stories. I also like to read how-to books, personal growth, etc. Pretty much what you like. ๐Ÿ™‚ Iโ€™ve gotten in the habit of reading quick fluff books lately, so I want to be more intentional reading books with more substance. Iโ€™m planning to read Gene Stratton Porter, Wendell Berry, Curwood and some other old books plus some new ones. I searched book lists on Pinterest and got quite a list I want to try.

Love your goals. The long range goals and monthly intentions are inspiring. I am really hoping to do better with screen time for myself and kids. We don’t have cable or watch much TV, but I feel like every time my son asks me a question, I am looking at my phone. It’s great that you work to keep your reading life going as a busy mom. I keep a stack of books on my nightstand (all different genre) at the ready, then I grab whatever I am in the mood for before I go to sleep. Love your blog. Thanks for your sharing your journey!

Great idea to keep an assortment of books by your bed so you can grab what you want! I too am working hard to get OFF my phone! ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you for sharing.
