My Favorite Blogs
In my last post, I explained why I took a break from blogging. While not writing myself, I did do a good bit of reading other people’s blogs.
I found several that have really been inspiring to me, so I thought I would share with you a list of my favorite blogs today.
In no particular order, here are my favorite blogs:
The Elliot Homestead — Oh gosh, this one might be my favorite of all time. Shaye writes about so many topics that I can relate to- being a mama to little ones, running a little farm/homestead, cooking with local ingredients, gardening, etc. I am a big fan.
The Parisienne Farmgirl — Again, another awesome blog that I can relate to. Angela writes about many of the same topics as above, but she includes DIY home decor, fashion, and has a Parisienne touch throughout her blog, just as the name suggests.
The Daily Connoisseur — My closet and my routines have been changed dramatically thanks to Jennifer’s 10 item wardrobe ideas, and her inspiration to always dress and look our best.
How Jen Does It — This is actually a YouTube channel, and not a blog, but I have been very inspired in my cleaning and organizing by Jen! She also has some great and yummy recipes, but they tend to not have many local or in season ingredients, so I mostly just get cleaning ideas from her.
Mommypotamus and MamaNatural are great resources for all things healthy living, natural childbirth, etc. I use them mostly when researching or looking for specific information, rather than just reading for enjoyment.
So, these are the favorite blogs that inspire me. I have no affiliation with any of them, and no one is paying me to write about them. They are literally just the blogs that I keep coming back to over and over for different reasons.
My vision for this blog, is to still keep quality how-to’s, ideas, and info coming your way, while also giving you a glimpse of our own family life as we build our homestead, eat locally, cook nourishing food, and experience the ups and downs that come along with this lifestyle.
Is there a particular direction or topic you would like me to address here on A Return To Simplicity?
